Accounts Assistant (Arabic Speaking)

Full job description
The Accounts Assistant will support the finance team by performing daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and assisting in budget tracking and financial reporting. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in day-to-day financial operations, including data entry and ledger management.
Prepare, process, and record supplier invoices, expense claims, and petty cash.
Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
Support monthly closings and preparation of financial reports.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
Assist in preparing VAT/tax reports and other statutory filings.
Maintain updated records of all transactions in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books, or similar).
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Assist with payroll preparation and staff expense reimbursements.
Handle filing, scanning, and documentation of all financial records.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1–2 years of accounting or finance experience preferred.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Skills:

Experience in a fit-out, interior design, or construction-related company is a plus.
Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
